Question and Answers
Q: Is Cartagena safe?
A: Yes!!! The seaside city of Cartagena is one of the safest places in the entire country, as well as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Colombia. Crime against tourists is practically unheard within the city walls of Cartagena, and you can stay safe in the city walls as long as you use common sense and exercise normal precautions!
Q: Transportation in Cartagena
A: Uber is the best option for transportation once your plane has landed. Your app will work the same, just plug in the address of your destination/ accommodations. Everything within the walled city is walking distance or 5 minute uber ride away.
Q: USD Exchange Rate
A: The U.S. dollar is strong in Colombia, but it does change slightly (as with any currency). We recommend bringing some cash with you (it can be American), because you may want to buy things from vendors and some do not accept credit cards. However, all main venues and restaurants accept major credit cards. There are many exchange vendors across the city, that are legitimate and offer fair exchange rates. We have used the money exchange vendors many times. They will not accept money that is ripped in any way, however, so make sure it is in good condition!
Q: Are children attending?
A: The Ceremony, Cocktail and Reception Dinner are reserved for adults to enjoy.
